International Focus Programme Evaluation Conference: “Main trends in intellectual Property Law”

Gdansk (Poland), 13. – 17. May 2009

The conference constitutes an evaluation of series of local, national and international events held within the framework of the International Focus Programme (IFP), cyclic project of our Association providing a specific theme for the whole of ELSA to focus its efforts on over a certain period. The duration of present topic, Intellectual Property Law, expires in June 2010. In order to present hitherto legal researches in this field, ELSA decided to organize an international conference.

The event is hosted by Local Group ELSA Gdansk and takes place in Gdansk, Poland on 13th - 17th of May 2009.

The subject of the conference, “Main Trends in Intellectual Property Law” is to be realized within four panels: Copyrights, Trademarks, Patents and Intellectual Property & Human Rights. The anticipated number of participants, legal authorities on IP Law, young lawyers and law students, is approximately 150 people. The exclusive language of the conference is English.

The academic supervision has been assumed by Dr. Maciej Barczewski, professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdansk (Poland), adjunct professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law (USA), member of the International Association for the Advancement of Teaching and Research in Intellectual Property.
