Seminar on Internet LawELSA Dresden invites you to an international seminar
We, ELSA-Dresden, want to invite you to our seminar „Cybercrime - Internet law with the key aspects data privacy, criminal prosecution and international private law with special emphasis on the trilateral relations between the Czech Republic, Poland and Germany”
The seminar will take place in Dresden from 24th to 27th June 2010. We are inviting up to 60 people from Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland
Don't wait too long as just until 25th April 2010 it's possible to apply for our seminar! The participation fee is 45€ and includes the academic as well as the social programme, the accommodation and three meals per day!
The working language of the whole seminar will be English!
Regarding the agenda, the speakers will give an overview on the current situation in the different countries and in which way cross border cooperation already works. The topic has been chosen to highlight the increasing importance of this growing cross border and borderless medium of the internet and its growing legal questions.
It is especially important for young jurists to recognise that these questions cannot be answered in a satisfactory way solely by rules of domestic legal orders. We want to show where there are problems and limitations but also opportunities for better interstate cooperation. A key aspect of the knowledge imparted will be to point out the significance of mutual courtesy and combined efforts across borders.
ELSA Dresden hopes to lower barriers and prejudices and to strengthen comprehension of other nations and cultures by getting together and engaging in joint learning. In particular, we are striving for an even closer cooperation of ELSA groups all over Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany through study visits, joint academic events, activities and exchange of experiences.
Following speakers we have already confirmed: · Mrs. Claudia Gorf, public prosecutor and representative at the EU council of experts of for data preservation · Dr. Christian Schertz, internationally acknowledged expert on copyright- and media law and IP-Rights · Prof. Dr. Martin Schulte, holder of the chair for public law with key aspects on environmental and technical law at Dresden Law School · Dr. Tino Naumann, a representative of the Saxonian Commissary for Data Protection
Of course Dresden will appear on its best behaviour - during summer. We will definitely take care of you with a wide range of social activities during this weekend, e.g. a guided city tour, a Delinquent-Hunt on-Campus (“chasing the offender”) and, not to forget, the typical ELSA-Party’s... You see, we are going to have lots of fun!
