Law School "Human Rights and Globalization"

ELSA Zagreb organises from 27th of Juli till 3rd of August the international Law School Human Rights and Globalisation for the 8th time.

Description: This year ELSA Zagreb organises the traditional international
summer law school “Human Rights and Globalization” for the eight time,
which is being held from the 27^th of July till 3^rd of August 2008 in Zadar in the
renewed   University Campus (10 minutes walking distance from the Old City).

This year’s main topics comprise human rights in the EU and their
protection. Through eight days of interactive lectures and workshops
students will have the chance to broaden their legal knowledge. The
programme combines experiences of native and foreign experts in law.

From the beginning numerous eminent professors participate in the
management of this year’s international project.

Why to participate in the ELSA International Summer Law School
“Human rights and Globalisation”?

One week of fun with a rich academic programme through which the
participants are given the possibility to take part in an outstanding informal
educational programme and from an international viewpoint expand their
knowledge in the field of human rights, to establish a cooperation between
Croatian and foreign students based on joint projects and programmes, to
correlate students and eminent law experts in their future work, to give
students a chance to create their own projects, to train students in the
expertness of creating project proposals.

Besides the academic programme there is also a rich and eventful social
programme. Zadar, a beautiful seaside resort on the mid-Adriatic coast,
combines such diverse influences crammed into one small town! It offers lots
of historical and cultural sights such as the City Gates, City Walls,

Five Wells Square, St Donatus’ Church, the Treasures of the City of Zadar,
the unique Sea Organ, St Anastasia’s Cathedral, combined with a wild
nightlife and the crystal blue sea will leave lifetime memories!

The proximity of two Croatian National Parks, Kornati Islands and Paklenica
are also a great advantage for nature lovers.
