Global Investment: Legal response towards a Prosperous Asia

ALSA organises an international conference in Semarang and Yogyakarta, Indonesia, from 15th-22nd January 2009

The Asian Law Students' Association (ALSA) organises an international conference under the theme "Global Investment: Legal response towards a Prosperous Asia". The conference will be held in Semarang and Yogyakarta in Indonesia. The participants from ELSA can participate in either Governing Council Meetings, Table Discussions, Table Rotations or Moot Court Competitions.

The topics of the table discussions are:

1. Foreign Direct Investment
2. Protection of Intellectual Property Right
3. Fair Trade
4. Environment Protection
5. Protection on Migrant Labors and Workers

The topic of the Moot Court Competition is "Private International Law".

The participation in such an event is an extraordinary chance to gain knowledge of Asian law. There is no better way to get in contact with an other legal system and to get in touch with the Asian culture.

The participation will cost 350 US Dollars and the application deadline is the 22nd of november 2009.
